Paying by Google Checkout in the UK

Google Checkout is an online payment processing service provided by Google, aimed at simplifying the process of paying for online purchases.  Users store their credit or debit card and delivery information in their Google Account, so that they can purchase for participating stores at the click of a button.  With Google, your card is only charged once the vender accepts your order.

Paying by Sage Pay:

By using Sage Pay we ensure that your card details are not compromised.  At Sage Pay they encrypt every transaction to the highest global standards.  Sage Pay process payments on behalf of us.  You will be transfer to a new window to confirm your payment.

Sage Pay also automatically provides all of its customers with fraud protection tools - what that means for you is that if your card has been compromised somewhere else, our e-tailers are using technology that will help to prevent your details from being illegally used on their own site.

It is good to note that Sage Pay accept multiple currencies, with real-time payment authorisation.  

Exchange Rates:

Please be aware that our products are priced in £ sterling.  Currency rates fluctuate and will increase or decrease from day to day, exchange rates will be determined through your payment option provider.

Failed or Cancelled Transactions:

PayPal:  When you place an order with Maidens through PayPal - your funds are automatically transfer into our PayPal account.  If for any reason we cannot fulfil your order - we will always endeavor to refund your account via PayPal in 48 hours.  Please note it may take up to 3 working days to show in your account

If your transaction has been cancelled, and you haven't been redirected to our Thank You page, this means we haven't received your order.  If this happens again, please call us on 01257 262402 and we can take payment over the phone.

Google Checkout:  When you place an order via Google Checkout - your credit card is authorised for payment.  However payment is only taken when we confirm your order.  If for any reason we cannot fulfil your order - we will cancel your order and your card will not be charged.

Sage Pay:  When you place an order via Sage Pay - your payment is taken directly from your account.  This is confirmed in a secure layer by Sage Pay and authorised before it moves into our account.  If for any reason we can not fulfil your order, we shall void your payment.  In some instances this pre-authorisation may appear on your bank statement even if the transaction was cancelled, unfulfilled or declined.
