After 10 years of employment within maidens as manageress and buyer I am
still thoroughly enjoying my position within the store.

Being main buyer is a real advantage as I love to know the up and coming
key trends for the forthcoming season, helping me to advise and style our
customers on a one to one basis.

This is a real key part of our business, and along the way I have become
friendly with many longstanding loyal customers.

My favourite designer in store has to be the one and only Vivienne
Westwood as her fantastic designs are so versatile and she is always
that one step ahead!

Starting back in 2002 as saturday staff I automatically knew that the
retail fashion industry was the career for me.

When a full time vacancy became available I instantly knew that i
wanted the position...

I can honestly say that it was a decision well made, and recently have
been promoted to assistant manageress which is my biggest achievement to date.

Due to the wide variety of stock within maidens I would find it
difficult to have a favourite.

Footwear and accessories are a main love of mine and like any woman you
can never have too many shoes!!!!

Time at Maidens: 13 years

After 13 years of employment within Maidens, I still enjoy coming to work.  Each day is different and that's what I like about working in fashion: it's forever evoling and developing.  Each customer is looking for something different and sometimes I still find it a challenge to advise for individual personalities and events - however that is what I like about working at Maidens.  I like building up relationships with our customers, getting to know them and knowing they are enjoying a personalised shopping experience.

I have seen brands come and go at my time here, and for me no-one can do better than the great Dame Vivienne Westwood.  Her forward thinking and experimental approach to fashion is so inspiring in such a creative field.  Each season her fantasic designs are so versatile and she is always that one step ahead!

What are you looking forward to in the SS'13 season, and why?

I can't wait for fresh colours, floral patterns and Summer!!

Time at Maidens: 2 years

I am a fairly new addition to the team at Maidens and I thoroughly enjoy working in such a friendly atmosphere!  I especially enjoy the start of a new season and the arrival of new stock.  It's always exciting to see how each brand has interpreted trends and how that's then translated to the customers.  Deliveries into store will never become tiresome.

We have a great range of designers who cater for every style here at Maidens.  My favourite designer range has to be Armani Jeans for their classic styles and simplistic designs.  Followed by Marc Cain a close second - a new and well anticipated range to arrive to Maidens.

What are you looking forward to in the SS'13 season, and why?

Customers appreciation of the new stock and the transformation and selection of pieces to create unique outfits to fit into their style.  And of course, helping them to do so!
